Natural ways to get the insects to go away from your farm

Keeping flies away from your farm and animals can sometimes be a daunting task. A big obstacle could be that you don’t want to use chemicals around your animals or family. Here are some natural ways to keep the insects away:

Standing water
Water lying around in buckets, old tires or even standing puddles can give you a big insect problem. Dump the water and try and avoid it from happening again. Fill in the holes where the puddles were.

Decaying vegetation
Vegetation like grass clippings or stagnant hay can also attract insects. Clean up the bad vegetation and make sure that you routinely replace uneaten hay that’s starting to go bad.

Oooh that smell
Another attraction for insects is manure. Make sure that you are not spreading fresh manure that hasn’t been composted or you will be making your problem a lot worse.
